Recipe for Leaping

One day, as the earth tilts her sweet heavy heart/head
in the whimsical dance of universal import,
You, too, may decide to let go and allow yourself to free fall with the
pull
of
mystery.

Should you wish to prepare for this leap into the unknown, I advise the following:

1. Muster up all the trust you can possibly find and fill your vessel (it's ok if it overflows)
2. Add two handfuls of grounded confidence and one of equanimous openness
3. Add a dash of curiosity and a pinch of panic (for good measure and humility and because you probably won't be able to not)
4. Mix well, simmer with alert intuition
5. Serve in a deep dish of gratitude, sprinkle generously with sincere prayer.

If you can, take this with you to your friend's yurt that you happen to be sitting.
Carry the whole dish on top of your head, like a basket of water
as you pet the cat,
eat autumn chilled raspberries
and admire new art on the fridge.

Let the weight of it
swaddle you
as you examine
where fragile edge of cloud meets sky
and break/dissolves
into
nothing
at
all.
