Mental Health

I'm spending time at work today looking for professional contacts on our facebook page. A monotonous job, but made delightfully stimulating by the array of Ted Talks I let play in the background.  No electronic music today (which usually encourages my flow); instead I listen to speakers on mental health, autism, schizophrenia, shock therapy, and addiction.  Gabor Mate, Joshua Walters, Sherwin Nuland, Elyn Saks, Temple Grandin. When will we as a society, as a culture, accept with grace all parts of the human journey?  When will it be as welcome to discuss our depression, mania, or obsessive thinking as it is to talk about our common cold, sprained ankle, or finances?
