I was playing with writing a scifi book 4 years ago and my hard drive crashed. I've decided to pick it up again and have a goal of writing an entry each day for a month. Here is the ongoing experiment.

That sucks. I have had that a few times. Not with sci-fi, but with a few novellas and a couple extra long journals i had edited a bit to make into note documents for a semi-truthfull biography-ish story..
Best of luck, and hope you stick with it this time. Looks like you have some potential here. Editing is always the hardest part for me. Since i tend to be overly verbose when i'm writing...
